Science Center Visit

Grandpa Roger was in town for Grant's 3rd Birthday so we took a guys' trip to the Science Center together. Fitting with the construction theme for his birthday, Grant explored the home construction section. Plumbing was his specialty this time and with the help of a older boy, Grant constructed a Picasso of Pipes along the floor measuring 30 feet.

Then it was off to the water section outside where Grant explored the different ways water can move objects. Thankfully, Grant handled a territory battle by turning his back on the offender and letting the boy's father step in to handle business, Sicilian-style.

Grant Turns Three! Can you believe it?

Grant celebrated his 3rd birthday this week. He decided he wanted a construction theme so Mommy scoured the inter-webs for the perfect accessories to fit the theme. We even dressed up to go along with the fun.

As soon as his friends arrived, Grant promptly escorted the other kids upstairs to show them his room and share his construction toys. They gave us at least a few minutes to meet and greet with parents before the party turned crazy. After I was being chased by a mob of kids yielding inflatable hammers, we sang the Birthday Song and enjoyed some of the incredible "Digger" cake Mommy custom made for Grant.

Watermelon is the Best

Man does this kid love watermelon. I love it, too and so did Grandpa Ralph. Good memories.

Super Boo

Grant is finally getting into costumes. I'm so excited that he likes his Skippy John Jones cape and mask. It's so cute I can barely stand it! (The blue marker on his elbow is a special touch. )

Happy Independance Day from Grant!

Check out the fun Grant had a couple weeks ago at the Fourth of July celebration in Munds Park, Arizona.

Grant enjoyed shouting to all of the kids in the parade in the shirt he and Mommy made. We went on a long hike down to a lake and Grant tried calling the wild birds over with bread. It was really something watching Mommy teach Grant about the various trees in the forest as her father had done with her.
