Can You Believe He's Four? Happy Birthday!

This year for Grant's birthday, we were looking for something indoors, with enough space for many kids, and that has a super hero theme since Grant is really into super heroes right now.
HULK SMASH!

We recently went to a party for one of Grant's good friends and he had a blast. When we found out they have a super hero training camp, the decision was easy and Grant was excited! Grant picked a bunch of kids from his class and we sent out invites. It was a good showing.

From the pictures, you can see that Grant and his school friends had another fun time sliding down the slides, driving the motorcycles (video), and learning how to become super heroes. Grant decided to slide down the slides backwards for some reason which was fun for the parents.

Upon graduation from training camp, the kids did the HULK SMASH! through bowls to earn their prizes, ate HULK CAKE!, and then Grant opened presents. Best of all...no clean up!

Happy Birthday Bud!

Happy Independence Day from Grant

This year, we celebrated the 4 of July just outside of Flagstaff in Munds Park, Arizona. It's a small town with a big parade celebration and it is one of Grant's favorite holiday activities. Grant made his own T-shirt in holiday colors and picked out small flags for all of us to wave during the parade. He yelled "Happy Day!" to each float that passed by. Thanks to all of those who serve and Happy 4th from Grant!

Best Father's Day Yet

For Father's Day this year, I got the gift I had wanted for a while; pictures with Grant.

Taking pictures of Grant and Mom is my favorite thing to do these days and after counting over a thousand images of them together, I realized I have just a few of Grant and I together.

So that was my gift. Rebecca followed Grant and I around for a typical weekend around the house and got some memorable images of us together.

For breakfast, we had one of Grant's favorite foods, egg Hamlets (omelets) and then started to rebuild the gate. After a job well-done, we came inside for some refreshing Arnold Palmers and then Grant chased me around the house with power drills. Next came Grant's favorite weekend activity, spraying the pool filters with the hose. We went to a Father's Day buffet for more egg Hamlets and then it was time for an afternoon book then nap.

It is my favorite Father's Day gift because I know years from now, Grant and I will be able to share these moments again. Thank you Babe!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.
