Game Face

Grant took his first spin in a go-kart over the Thanksgiving break from school. He was just tall enough (maybe...we got in) to ride as a passenger. Check out his game face.

Holiday Light Parade

This year, instead of riding in the stagecoach for the holiday light parade, we were spectators to get a chance to see all of the wonderfully decorated floats. We packed up our chairs, ordered some appetizers, and staked our claim on a spot. Grant had a great time cheering for the kids on the floats as they passed by and of course the candy they tossed to the sidelines. His favorite float this year?..a tie between the light-up dancers and the train pulling a live band. Check out the fun!

Happy Halloween from THE HULK!

For Grant's 4th Halloween, he wanted to be his favorite action hero, THE HULK. He really got into character by changing from "Trick or Treat!" halfway through the night to "Hulk want candy!" towards the end. There was even a Hulk-Off when he saw another boy wearing a Hulk costume.

Reptile Show

Our community clubhouse offered a reptile show for kids so of course Grant was in attendance. This was the first time he saw several of the creatures they showed and he handled them all without fear. It was fun to watch him sit there with his hands out the entire time so he did not lose his place in line for petting the reptiles.

Carefree Pumpkin Festival

For the past few years, we have visited the same pumpkin farm with Grant. So this year, we decided to check out something new. Mom found a festival in Carefree which featured pumpkins carved by an artist and placed throughout the park. It was fun to see the carver in action and search throughout the park for all of the fun carved pumpkins. Check it out!

Trip to Washington

We all took a week long trip to Washington to visit Grandma Ruth and check out some fun things to do to beat the heat in Arizona. On the trip, Grant got to ride a his first horse, found a half-snail, half-fairy creature who made him a balloon animal, and got to spend some relaxing time with Grandma. Well, I don't know if she was relaxing, but we did get some time to enjoy a bi-plane tour of the islands and an evening alone in an amazing boutique hotel. All thanks to Grandma Ruth!

Check out some of the memories from the trip!

Can You Believe He's Four? Happy Birthday!

This year for Grant's birthday, we were looking for something indoors, with enough space for many kids, and that has a super hero theme since Grant is really into super heroes right now.
HULK SMASH!

We recently went to a party for one of Grant's good friends and he had a blast. When we found out they have a super hero training camp, the decision was easy and Grant was excited! Grant picked a bunch of kids from his class and we sent out invites. It was a good showing.

From the pictures, you can see that Grant and his school friends had another fun time sliding down the slides, driving the motorcycles (video), and learning how to become super heroes. Grant decided to slide down the slides backwards for some reason which was fun for the parents.

Upon graduation from training camp, the kids did the HULK SMASH! through bowls to earn their prizes, ate HULK CAKE!, and then Grant opened presents. Best of all...no clean up!

Happy Birthday Bud!

Happy Independence Day from Grant

This year, we celebrated the 4 of July just outside of Flagstaff in Munds Park, Arizona. It's a small town with a big parade celebration and it is one of Grant's favorite holiday activities. Grant made his own T-shirt in holiday colors and picked out small flags for all of us to wave during the parade. He yelled "Happy Day!" to each float that passed by. Thanks to all of those who serve and Happy 4th from Grant!
