Lego Architect

Since it has been well over 100 degrees (118 today) outside, Grant has been working on things inside. Yesterday and this morning we took some time to start a couple of complex Lego projects while learning about them together as we built.

For example, we learned that Big Ben is actually the name of the bell inside the clock. The clock is simply called the House of Parliament Clock but because everyone hears Big Ben chime, that became the popular name over time. We also found out the White House was finished two years ahead of schedule while still nearly four years to complete. Grant says that is because Barak Obama is a fast builder. Given that these are designed for 12-year-old and up and involved more than 900 bricks, a few hours broken up over a day is pretty fast too.

Finishing both on Father's Day was perfect. Check them out!
