Yucky Applesauce
He makes dramatic, "You're feeding me lemons!" faces with foods he loved just the day before.

Cuteness in the Kitchen
He was feeling happy despite his teething (note the constant drooling) and we were lucky enough to capture his cuteness.
He's Standing!
Just a 2-3 weeks after he started crawling he's standing. We can't believe it. How long until he walks? Just a couple more weeks?
Disclaimer: This outfit was neither assembled nor approved by Mommy.
More standing . . . this time he's after his crackle books.

Here He Comes
He has this crawling stuff down pat and will crawl over to us, even if we're across the room.
Learning to be a Kitty Cat
Grant is fascinated with our cat, Killer, and chases after her. He is a quick study of everyday kitty cat habits.

Muppet Sounds
I was making Muppet sounds to make Grant laugh and he, much to our delight, decided he'd make them right back.
Doin' Deals with Daddy
Nick let Grant have his old Blackberry to play with and it totally reminded me of the E-Trade baby commercials.
Carrot Vampire
I fed him carrots and they were so deep orange that it looked like he was a baby vampire. It made me giggle and reminded me of that silly kid's book, Bunnicula.
Stretching Before a Run
I found an older picture on my camera that hadn't yet been posted. I think this was from back in December because he still fit in the Pack 'n' Play changer. It's silly.

Two Front Teeth
Grant has two teeth in and appears to have a few more about to break through.
We finally caught a good picture of him showing them off.

6 Month Checkup
Grant's doing great and while he didn't enjoy his immunizations and flu shot, I think they were harder on his mommy. Thanks to his daddy for staying in there with him for it!
He's got two bottom teeth (that we cannot get pictures of), he's starting to figure out crawling, and will soon outgrow his car seat.
Check out his height chart!

Crawling Beginnings
Over the past couple of weeks, Grant has begun to pull himself up on his hands and knees and make some progress on moving across the tummy time blanket. He gets a bit frustrated with not being able to move his hands and knees without falling over or face planting, but he keeps at it. Go Grant!
P.S. Killer, our cat, is not amused by Grant's increased mobility.
Master of Raspberries
Grant loves making raspberry noises . . . pretty much anytime and nearly any occasion.

Grant is Six Months!
Grant is always so happy when we wakes up and sees us. I thought I should share that fun with everyone.
Happy .5, Grant!

Here he is singing his half-birthday song with his friend, the musical cow.

Funny New Laugh
Grant is such a happy little kid. We're really lucky. Here's his funny new laugh, captured just yesterday.
Baby Bash
Grant loves to bash his toys, but he's developing good large motor skills, so we don't mind.

Gnome Spotting!
While on a walk on the tree farm, we captured this shot of a little gnome scampering through the woods.
Actually, Grant got a cute red hat for the cold weather and we thought it made him look just like a little lawn gnome so we got some fun pictures with him.
Grant's First Christmas
Grant playing with his Christmas present from Grandma Ruth.
Grant patiently watching as everyone else opens their presents.
Grant chewing on his favorite gift, the bow. He played with it all week.

"Don't Look At Me!"
Grant's new thing when feeding is putting his hands over his eyes after grabbing the bottle.
We are not sure where he picked it up, but it is not hurting anything and makes us smile.

4-Month Checkup
Grant is doing great, as you can see by his growth chart, below.
He is also starting rice cereal this week and has been a real trooper. He thinks it's fun to have cereal in his mouth and to chew on the spoon. I'm sure some of it gets down his throat, but it's great he enjoys playing the eating game.

Thanksgiving in Green Valley
Grant spent his first Thanksgiving with his "Greats" in Green Valley. Many thanks to
Bill & Lil, Ruthanna & Don, Susan & Larry and their two daughters for their hospitality
over the holiday. More pictures to come!

Laughing with Daddy
We finally caught Grant laughing on video yesterday when Nick discovered by accident that dropping a onesie on him just cracked him up. He laughed for 10 minutes. He really is a bundle of joy!

Learning to Stand with Daddy
Grant and Daddy are best buds. They're so cute together when they play.
Laundry and a Happy Baby
Grant just loves spending time with Mommy doing the laundry. He's such a cheerful little guy.

Helpin' Mom in the Kitchen
I was making French toast with him and couldn't resist taking a picture. He looks like a little munchkin in his striped footy pajamas and he had fun playing with the spatula. How did he balance it on his foot?
His Fantastic Feet
He just loves playing with his feet. It's adorable, but makes hard to keep the socks on. Good thing it's still mild weather here in Phoenix. These photos are courtesy of Mariana.
