Loves the Vacuum and Cleaning

Part of Grant's organization phase is wanting to help with cleaning.  He loves the vacuum, leaf blower, and helping to wipe things down or point out dirt that mommy missed.  If he is passionate about cleaning, I'm going to do everything I can to support it.

Here he is delighted with the new Dirt Devil hand vac toy. He loved it so much he had to hold it in the car on they way home. The video is of him with his weed wacker toy.  Hours of entertainment! Well, until he realizes that I have my phone out and then he wants to see pictures.  :)

Grant Around the House

Here are some pictures of Grant having fun around the house.  Here he is posing in the big chair like he's in a magazine interview.  Such poise!

Now that it has hit the triple digits, playing with water outside is a must.  Here he is playing and making a splash!

Arranging Furniture

It's so much fun watching Grant go through different phases. He's in an organizing phase right now and has spent many an afternoon arranging and rearranging different seating configurations around his play room.  He even tests them out!

Wants to be like Daddy

Nick broke his hand a couple weeks back and Grant took special interest in the wrap on Daddy's arm.  So, we created a wrap for Grant (out of toilet paper) so he could be just like Dad.  So cute.

Easter Egg Fun for Weeks

Grant loves popping open the Easter eggs to see what's inside. Staging an Easter egg hunt in the house is also a big hit.

Practice Makes Perfect

At 20 months, Grant is already mastering letters and numbers like a champ!

Grant's First Easter Egg Hunt

While this is Grant's second Easter celebration (here is the link to his first), this was his first Easter Egg hunt! Grant is a master at organization so any task involving things which belong in a bucket, Grant will enjoy. He had a great time searching and running back to the bucket with his hands full. It was a great surprise to see Grant helping the other kids add eggs to their basket too.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Grant experienced his first parade today. It was the St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Phoenix. There were plenty of big trucks, horses, and his favorite...fire engines.

New Playground

We found a new playground for Grant which has slides, swings, and fun sandbox tractors. His favorite activity though was pulling weeds. Check it out-

Happy Valentine's Day from Grant

We made fun Valentine's Day cards for Grant's grandparents and decided to take a few extra for friends and family.

We Love Long Weekends

Extra time on the weekend means extra time with Grant. While it was cold outside, Grant had fun with Dad's shoes and once it warmed up a bit Dad and Grant went hiking on a new trail.

Christmas Captured

This year was Grant's second Christmas. It was the first Christmas he was able to open his own presents and boy did he enjoy it!

Best wishes to Grandma Ruth who unfortunately broke her leg right before the holidays and could not make it this year. We opened presents by phone so she could join in the fun.

Silly Hat

Now that the temperatures have dropped, Grant has been trying out some of his hats. This one is especially silly and that's why Mommy loves it. 

 

Santa at Gate6

Santa came to Mommy's office, Gate6, and Grant got a second try.  He was a little freaked out by the other kids who were scared and scream-crying, but he quickly mellowed and we got some decent pics as long as Mommy was there with him.  How great looking is this Santa with the curly mustache?!

Grant was not a fan of being with Santa by himself, so Mommy and Daddy joined in.  We were thankful for such a cute and patient Santa Claus.

Grandma Ruth Comes to Visit

We were so excited with Grant's Halloween pictures that this picture of when Grandma Ruth visited a few weeks ago was not even up yet! This year will be celebrating the holidays in Arizona so expect more family pictures soon.
